Mark Braun is a Berlin-based industrial designer whose work brings together clarity, craft, and contemporary elegance. Trained first as a carpenter before studying design in Potsdam, Halle, and Eindhoven, he has built a studio practice that moves fluidly between furniture, lighting, accessories, and industrial products.
Since founding his studio in 2006, Braun has collaborated with leading international brands including Mono, NOMOS Glashütte, Lobmeyr, E15, and Thonet. His designs are recognized for their thoughtful use of material, refined geometry, and the subtle details that turn everyday objects into lasting companions.
Braun’s work has been honored with international design awards and is exhibited worldwide. Alongside his studio practice, he shares his approach to design as a professor of Product and Industrial Design at HBKsaar in Saarbrücken.
For Mono, Braun created Mono V, the first new flatware concept from the manufactory in more than two decades. Inspired by the efficiency of disposable cutlery, yet elevated into timeless form, it reflects his philosophy: simple gestures, executed with precision, that stand the test of time. Mono V is part of the curated collection available at JANGEORGe.
