Tab Floor - Floor Lamp

A new edition of the Tab family, now featuring updated capabilities and new colors. This version of the Tab floor lamp has an adjustable head that can rotate 90 degrees, emitting non-dimmable, direct light. It is available in two new finishes: matte blue and matte dark green, alongside the original black and white. Designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby in 2011, the Tab floor lamp celebrates innovation. The lamp body is painted with pressed fused aluminum. Its multi-LED diffuser is made from specially designed PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate), created to prevent multi-shadow effects and glare.

Inspiration behind the design: Designers Edward Barber and Jay Ogersby aim to challenge everything when they start a creation. When commissioned to design a product, they seek to re-evaluate the archetype and question conventions. They explore different manufacturing techniques, not necessarily by using new materials or radically rethinking design, but by applying existing techniques in more original or intelligent ways.
