Treko: Rescuing Chilean Textile Traditions
Treko (meaning "yarn of wool" in the native Chilean dialect) is a luxury textile line founded to preserve and share the rich textile traditions of Chiloé Island, a remote region off the south coast of Chile. Every piece is commissioned and handmade by master artisans of the Huilliche community, using time-honored weaving and knitting techniques dating back to the 16th century.
Natural Wool & Artisan Craftsmanship
The unmatched quality of Treko stems from its materials and process. All products are made from 100% natural wool sourced from Chilota sheep, known for their resilience and durable fibers. The wool is cleaned, spun into fine threads, and colored using natural dyes derived from leaves, barks, and roots, ensuring a sustainable and authentic color palette.
