Ivan Colominas
Ivan Colominas studied industrial design at the UCH-CEU in Valencia, where he then pursued a Master’s in Transportation Design.
Based in Milan, he works across disciplines: from automotive and sporting goods to home accessories and sculptural marble pieces.
What sets Ivan’s work apart is the way he draws inspiration from 20th-century iconography and translates it into objects for the “digital age” that still carry analog warmth and tactile presence.
His collaborations with quality-makers of fine materials (notably marble) have consistently yielded designs that are minimal, precise and emotionally grounded.
Ivan’s design achievements include six Red Dot awards and international publication in design media.
In his hands the weighty and permanent becomes quiet and poetic: marble becomes tableware, centrepieces, and conversational sculptures that bridge functionality and art.
For the JANGEORGe collection, this means objects that feel lived-in yet elevated: surfaces that celebrate materiality, details that reward touch, and forms that reference both heritage and now.
