Designer - Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid (1950–2016) was an Iraqi-British architect whose work reshaped how the world experiences buildings. Known as the “Queen of the Curve,” she rejected the strict lines of modernism, favoring fluid, sweeping forms that seem to flow like sculpture.

Born in Baghdad, Hadid studied mathematics before attending the Architectural Association in London, where her visionary ideas quickly stood out. For years her designs lived mostly on paper, seen as too radical to build — until technology caught up. Today, her projects define the skylines of major cities: the MAXXI Museum in Rome, Guangzhou Opera House in China, the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, and London’s Aquatics Centre for the 2012 Olympics. Each one is a striking statement of motion, geometry, and daring imagination.

Hadid was the first woman to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize (2004) and the first female recipient of the RIBA Gold Medal (2016). She embraced new materials, digital design, and engineering breakthroughs, expanding the possibilities of what architecture could be.

At JANGEORGe Interiors & Furniture, we’re proud to offer many of Zaha Hadid’s designs — furniture, lighting, and home accessories that bring her signature style into daily life. Each piece reflects her bold approach: elegant, futuristic, and designed to transform a space.

Zaha Hadid’s legacy lives on through Zaha Hadid Architects, whose work continues to inspire, proving that buildings — and the objects we live with — can be as expressive and dynamic as art.
